To begin with, the old man who owns or runs the store is extremely rude and unpleasant. My welcoming into his store was, him screaming at me from across the room when I went to grab a PLATE. How can anyone POSSIBLY shop without looking at things.

I makes sense because the store is extremely cluttered and you can barely walk through or see anything. He can’t possibly be selling anything very frequently.

Additionally, when I finally found two things I was interested in, he made me WAIT until the other two lady’s in the store left because he was watching them like a HAWK on his cameras.

Finally, I showed him the items and he gave me an astronomical number for one and then told me he wanted to keep the other item for himself.

WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND GAS. There are so many other places to get good vintage items in Miami. DONT waste your time here. This miserable old man is a hoarder who doesn’t want to break away from all his junk.

I bought a beautiful marble coffee table for $700 (same type of table at Pottery Barn sells for more than $1200 and quality is no where near as good). It was super dirty when I saw it, but he cleaned it up and it was stunning. This isn’t an off the rack place - you have to sift through stuff to find the good pieces, the same you would at a vintage store. The owner is rude and only speaks Spanish but if you’re rude back and smile, he’ll respect you. I basically had to fight with him ? to get what we wanted. The “experience” - and it definitely is one - is not seamless, but you get amazing pieces with great prices. If you want a glass of champagne and a smile when you go shopping, you’re not gonna get that here. But you also don’t pay for it.

From the moment we stepped into this store, the man at the front stared at us like if we were not welcomed there. We were not greeted at all even though we said hello. As we started to stroll through the store we noticed that he was following us. We stopped to see an item that he had there and we reached to grab it he yelled at us to not touch anything. Now there were no signs in the store telling us not to touch or ask for help. But he repeated himself again to not touch. He was rude in explaining why he did not want people touching his items. So we decided to just leave. The place is full of items cluttered together. You can barely walk in this place. As for us recommending this place to anyone? No Way! You will be better off visiting the other places in this area. You will be better off! As for the man who I assume is the owner! Get real and treat people with respect. Good Luck!

I have NEVER had such a horrible shopping experience. I walk into the store and he stared at me with such repulsion. I decided to shrug it off because he’s a decrepit old man. I start to walk around and he yells at his employee (or wife-whatever she is to him) to go follow me and watch me. I decide to immediately walk out of the store. As I approach the exit, I see him staring at the videos making sure I’m not stealing something. Sir, I’m a successful lawyer in Miami and have no need, nor the desire, to ever steal one of your dusty pieces of antiques. You’re a disgusting human. You should never make your customers feel like they’re unwelcomed as you did to me today. This is why your store is overrun with items; no one wants to buy from you.

I wouldn’t recommend this “antique” store to anyone. This store is mostly just a collection of a hoarder who doesn’t want to part ways with anything. The owner will follow you and stare at you from the moment you walk in the door until the moment you walk out. My wife and I went in and immediately felt uncomfortable. We walked around the store looking at all the old pieces of furniture and this man literally watched our every move. When we saw some old rotary phones and simply turned it to see if it worked he yelled from across the store to not touch anything when there are clearly no signs that say do not touch. The store is packed with items and I assume it’s because he cannot sell anything due to his extremely poor behavior. I would never step foot in that place again. The shopping center has other wonderful antiques to offer where the people working are nothing but kind and helpful.

I have never felt more uncomfortable inside a store than I did today at Leon Antiques. The owner is unwelcoming, condescending and overall rude. He abruptly yelled at me to not touch his porcelains from across the room when I picked up a tea cup and saucer to observe the floral pattern it had. Mind you, there were no signs that items could not be touched nor was the item placed at eye-level. The tea cup was on top of something that resembled a small stool so the only other way for me to look at it was to crouch. The situation was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. I would never recommend this store to anyone unless they want a terrible experience. It came to no surprise that the store was completely empty of any shoppers.

This antique store is not target or Walmart a place to touch and handle merchandise at your own !
Most people have little respect for people's property and no respect older individuals that have experience in life ! Sorry does’t not pay for broken items especially for vintage ones that are more fragile ! Small store depend on every sell to pay their bills ! Large store have totally different operation of business ! Is good when you have a sell person fallow you when you are chopping this a great attention to their costumer so if you need help or a question about a item ! When you chop on high end boutique like Dior , Versace , Luis and so on ,there is a sell person fallow you around ,and you don’t touch the merchandise the sell person Handel it to you ! also owner have to protect their item from not to disappear from the shop ! I love small store and a like this antique store and I would plan to visit and buy to support small wonderful business ! and I will ask before I touch any item ,if I’m aloud to do so ,for respect and care of the product .and I would have a great shopping experience !
